Laurie Popeck has been a resident of the Chartiers‑Houston community for over 20 years and resides here with her husband, Steve, their son, Trevor (currently attending Case Western Reserve University majoring in Civil Engineering), and their daughter, Brooke (a current senior at CHSD who will be attending Chatham University in the fall majoring in Exercise Science/Sports Medicine).

Mrs. Popeck has remained deeply committed to the District through her long‑standing involvement and her service on the Chartiers‑Houston School Board. She has served on the Board for 11 years and is currently in her third elected term, concluding in December 2027. Throughout her tenure, Mrs. Popeck has held multiple leadership roles, including Board President from 2021–2023 and again for the 2026–2027 term, as well as Treasurer during 2025.

Mrs. Popeck’s work on the Board reflects a consistent focus on transparent governance, responsible oversight, and strengthening communication between the District and its stakeholders. Mrs. Popeck has contributed to significant district initiatives, including facilities planning and construction oversight, safety improvements, and long‑term strategic discussions related to enrollment and infrastructure needs. She is thankful for the administrative team, faculty, staff, and students of the District and hopes that everyone shares the same pride in Chartiers‑Houston that she does.

In addition to her Board service, Mrs. Popeck serves as Vice President of the Trevor Popeck Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing financial resources to offset the cost of medical expenses from eye‑related ailments. Through this work, she remains committed to supporting families in need and advancing the Foundation’s mission of ensuring that no child is limited by barriers to essential vision care.

Mike Kolovich is a graduate of Chartiers-Houston School district, having graduated in
1996. He and his wife, Bronwyn, live in Chartiers Township with their two daughters
Ava and Brynn. They love being involved in their community, having worked with the townships Park and Recreation for the last 8 years. Working in the environmental field for the past 16 years, Mike has worked as an environmental project supervisor, environmental coordinator and is currently the Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance Specialist for Buckeye Partners, L.P. in Moon Township, PA. When he is not attending his daughter's sporting events or coaching Chartiers-Houston Girls softball, Mike loves to travel with his family. In the past, he has helped coach various basketball teams in Chartiers-Houston and Canon McMillian school districts. He looks forward to serving on his alma mater's school board.

Jay Johnson

Mr. Johnson has been a resident of the district since 1985. He graduated from Upper St. Clair and continued his education at Adrian College, earning a four‑year degree. His son, Seth, graduated from Chartiers-Houston in 2003 and later from American University in 2006. His daughter, Brooke, graduated in 2006. Mr. Johnson's granddaughter, Kayloni, is currently a 9th‑grade student and a member of the Chartiers-Houston basketball team.

Jay shares, “It has been a special honor to serve on the board since 2019, and I look forward to finishing my term in 2027.”

Mrs. Robinson is a longtime resident of the Chartiers-Houston School District and a graduate of Peters Township High School. Her husband, Dyson, is a graduate of Chartiers-Houston, and they have two children, Maison and Sophia, who both attend the high school and are actively involved in sports.

Mrs. Robinson has over 20 years of professional experience in the mortgage industry with a background in leadership and team management. Her background has provided her with experience in leadership, organization, and collaboration.

Mrs. Robinson says, "It is an honor to serve on the Chartiers-Houston School Board. I am committed to supporting students, teachers, and staff while working to ensure a high-quality education and equal opportunities for all children in our district. "
