Rep. Ortitay visited yesterday to speak with our CHS Economics and CHS Leadership class discussing with students current state and local issues such as the state budget, school cell phone ban and key traits of successful leaders. Thank you Representative Jason Ortitay for taking time to talk with students in Mrs. Ashmore’s Survey of Economics Class and Theories of Leadership Classes.

Due to low ticket sales, the Valentine’s Day Dance is cancelled. For those who purchased tickets, please see Mrs. Gordon in Room 106 for your refund. The 10th grade class officers are sorry for an inconvenience this may be.

Last Friday, Mrs. Ashmore’s CHS Economics class had the opportunity to tour the Perryman Company. Students participated in a hands-on presentation that explored the company’s products, supply chain operations, involvement in foreign markets, company history, and employee benefits. The visit concluded with a guided tour of the production facility, allowing students to see economic concepts come to life in a real-world setting. It was a highly educational experience that connected classroom learning with practical application. A huge thank you to Perryman Company for an outstanding visit!

Attention: Due to the ongoing water line repairs and treatment due to the water main break on Saturday, the Chartiers-Houston school district will operate on a two hour delay for Monday, February 9, 2026. This time will allow the cafeteria staff to boil water and have bottled water ready for students when classes begin. Students should bring their own bottled water or bottled drinks from home tomorrow and Tuesday. Students should not drink from the water fountains tomorrow or Tuesday. After school practices will still be held for athletics and the musical. Students should bring bottled water or bottled drinks to those as well. Tomorrow night’s school board meeting will take place as scheduled at its regular time of 7 pm. Thank you for your flexibility as we all adjust to the water line break.

Chartiers-Houston Junior High Students danced away on Dec.12 during their Junior High Dance! 🪩🎶🎤 Thanks to all of the students that attended! We hope you had a memorable night full of laughs, singing, and most importantly … DANCING! #chartiershouston
